CS-3 is either more complicated or more expensive to copy, because it's VCA based. It's also hard to get anything to sound and respond exactly like it without also being VCA-based. I'd say easier options for compressor builds would be an Orange Squeezer, which would be way more subtle than you probably want, or a step up in difficulty is.

One way I have done this is to position the cap near the end of the circuitboard, and run the legs of the cap the 2cm or so back to the points on the board where it is supposed to attach.
